the website coordinates between our brochure and business card...I think it is a cleaner, easier way to look at the site without changing too much. I hope she likes it, and customers should find it easy to navigate through
We created the business card, by making a 2x2 square so that it represented the square cake boxes she uses, and also, it is the same shape as our brochure. The only info that she gave us was her website and email address, so I included those, and also her title...."cake guru". She didnt deem herself that, but i thought it had a nice ring, and gave the card a little something extra. The negative space on the square is created using a blown up part of the logo. It adds a little to the card without making it too busy.
First we started by getting into our groups and trying to decide what the style of the identity should be. We wanted it to be fun and funky, because those were the words she used to describe what she was looking for. Then we didnt get far, so the next time we talked as a group, we decided on a logo, and designed the one that you see here. Sorry is baby sized, but its pretty cute and fun. It represents her cakes, without actually showing a cake. There is the bow-like topper that she frequently uses in her design. We put that on top of our text so that it sort of resembled a cake without actually being one.I vote that its pretty successful!!!
